New permanently affordable homeownership opportunities are coming to Larimer County!

By Lauren DeBell March 16, 2022

Elevation CLT is excited to announce 98 permanently affordable homeownership opportunities coming soon to Larimer County.

Fifty-four of the homeownership opportunities will be new construction 2- and 3-bedroom townhomes on Kechter Road in Fort Collins. The Kechter development officially broke ground in March 2022 with anticipated construction completion in 2023.

The Kechter townhomes are ideally located in the City of Fort Collins. The property sits between two parks, is centrally located between two schools, and offers a breathtaking view of the Front Range. “Generations of families will benefit from the housing built there,” Susan Beck-Ferkiss, Social Policy and Housing Programs Manager for the City of Fort Collins, told Coloradoan.

Elevation CLT is also working in partnership with Housing Catalyst to renovate 44 scattered site units across the city of Fort Collins. These property types vary between single-family detached, duplex, and triplex units.

Homes will be available for purchase to income-qualified buyers earning up to 80% of the area median income. The 2021 AMI for Larimer County for a family of four is $76,700. Households interested in purchasing an Elevation’s home in Fort Collins can begin the application process by visiting elevationclt.org/buy-a-home and registering for an ECLT Homebuyer Orientation class.

As Fort Collins experiences rising land and housing costs, this program will help ensure the community has a range of accessible housing options affordable to low- and moderate-income families.
